Part 2. How Pokemon Sleep Works

Instead of constant walks and exhausting Pokemon GO hunts, you can just put Pokemon GO to bed and wake up with a fresh batch of new creatures – just like Snorlax, right?

That’s essentially what Pokemon GO Sleep is all about. The app uses your mobile device’s accelerometer to track your body’s movements when you tap the Sleep button, estimating the length and quality of your sleep session and rewarding you with Pokemon based on your results.

Part 3. How to Pair Pokemon Sleep With a Pokemon GO Device

Pairing the new sleep-tracking app with the game is relatively straightforward. Here’s how to do it:

1. Launch the Pokemon Sleep app and click the Main Menu

1. Go to Settings and Morein the bottom right corner. Then, tap Pair a Device and confirm it.

1. Follow the instructions and connect your device.

1. If the connection is successful, a new icon will appear in Pokemon Sleep in the bottom right corner.

Now that you’ve paired the sleep-tracking app with your Pokemon GO Plus, you can finally use the tool to track your sleep and earn rewards.

Part 4. How to Use Pokemon Sleep

Claiming rewards is only possible if you use the Pokemon GO Plus service with a sleep-tracking device. If you have those, you can follow these steps to use Pokemon GO Sleep:

1. Hold the Mainbutton in Pokemon GO Plus to start a sleep session. You’ll hear a lullaby play, and the indicator light will flash blue.
2. Put the phone on the bed, and its accelerometer will track your body’s movements during sleep to estimate your sleep length and quality.
3. When you wake up, end the sleep session by holding the Main button in Pokémon GO Plus.
4. Head into the Pokemon GO app to transfer your sleep data and get rewards.

Note: To claim sleep rewards, you must share your sleep data with the Pokemon GO app.

Part 5. Advantages of Using Pokemon Sleep

Although it doesn’t have the most compelling gameplay experience and is more of an extension of the Pokemon GO app, Pokemon Sleep brings a few benefits:

Part 6. Pokemon Sleep Compatible Devices

The new sleep-tracking app from The Pokemon Company has requirements similar to those of the developer’s Pokemon GO game. It’s available for Android and iOS devices, including smartphones and tablets from various manufacturers.

On the Android side of things, Pokemon GO Sleep requires Android 7.0 or higher, a network connection, location services, and access to the device’s accelerometer. It’s worth noting the app isn’t precisely optimized for tablets.

On the other hand, Pokemon GO Sleep for iOS requires using an iPhone 7 or newer device with iOS 14 or newer version. The rest of the requirements are the same as on Android, with iPads not being optimized for the app.
