Snorlax isn’t the only creature that loves to sleep. Humans need it, too, as walking around and collecting critters can become pretty tiring. That’s why The Pokemon Company, the developer behind Pokemon GO, has introduced a new app – Pokemon Sleep.
With July 2023 as Pokemon Sleep’s release date, users have been tracking their sleep patterns for almost a year. This new app for Android and iOS even rewards users with Pokemon based on the quality of their sleep.
Today, we’ll explore the new Pokemon GO Sleep app, showing you how it works and how to pair it with your device. We’ll also discuss the fantastic new Pokemon GO to-bed critter-collecting strategy it brings.
Pokemon Sleep is an Android and iOS-based sleep-tracking app for fans of Pokemon GO. With it, players can track their sleep schedules and quality and get tremendous rewards like Pokemon when they get a good night’s rest or improve their sleep patterns.
All Solutions in One Toolkit
Instead of constant walks and exhausting Pokemon GO hunts, you can just put Pokemon GO to bed and wake up with a fresh batch of new creatures – just like Snorlax, right?
That’s essentially what Pokemon GO Sleep is all about. The app uses your mobile device’s accelerometer to track your body’s movements when you tap the Sleep button, estimating the length and quality of your sleep session and rewarding you with Pokemon based on your results.
Pairing the new sleep-tracking app with the game is relatively straightforward. Here’s how to do it:
Now that you’ve paired the sleep-tracking app with your Pokemon GO Plus, you can finally use the tool to track your sleep and earn rewards.
Claiming rewards is only possible if you use the Pokemon GO Plus service with a sleep-tracking device. If you have those, you can follow these steps to use Pokemon GO Sleep:
Note: To claim sleep rewards, you must share your sleep data with the Pokemon GO app.
Although it doesn’t have the most compelling gameplay experience and is more of an extension of the Pokemon GO app, Pokemon Sleep brings a few benefits:
There’s also a premium version of Pokemon Sleep, which gives you extra in-game currency, bonuses, and the ability to export sleep data to Android’s Health Connect or Apple Health.
The new sleep-tracking app from The Pokemon Company has requirements similar to those of the developer’s Pokemon GO game. It’s available for Android and iOS devices, including smartphones and tablets from various manufacturers.
On the Android side of things, Pokemon GO Sleep requires Android 7.0 or higher, a network connection, location services, and access to the device’s accelerometer. It’s worth noting the app isn’t precisely optimized for tablets.
On the other hand, Pokemon GO Sleep for iOS requires using an iPhone 7 or newer device with iOS 14 or newer version. The rest of the requirements are the same as on Android, with iPads not being optimized for the app.
Despite being a viral location-based mobile AR game with millions of players, Pokemon GO has drawbacks that limit the player’s leveling and creature-capturing abilities. Fortunately, the developer behind the game has also introduced a new app – Pokemon GO Sleep.
Pokemon Sleep’s release marked a new era in Pokemon hunts. It allows players to track the quality of their sleep and use the Pokemon GO to bed strategy – sleeping and waking up to new critters in their collection. Using the app is straightforward, and pairing it up with your Pokemon GO device couldn’t be simpler, providing players with many advantages.
