On Mozilla Firefox

Just like Chrome, you can also choose to view your saved FB password on Mozilla Firefox. To do that, you can launch Firefox and visit its Settings by clicking on the hamburger icon from the top.

Great! Once the Settings page of Firefox is launched, just visit the "Privacy & Security" option from the sidebar. Here, you can navigate and go to the "Logins and Passwords" field and simply click on the "Saved Logins" feature.

That's it! This will open all the saved login details on Firefox. You can now go to the saved Facebook account details from the sidebar or manually look for "Facebook" on the search option.

This will display the email ID and the password of your Facebook account. You can copy or view your FB password from here after entering the master password of your system.

On Safari

Lastly, Safari users can also take the assistance of its inbuilt password manager feature to view their saved FB password. To check your saved details, just launch Safari on your system, and go to Finder > Safari > Preferences.

This will open a new window with different preferences related to Safari. From the provided options, just go to the "Passwords" tab and enter the password of your system to bypass its security check.

That's it! This will simply list all the passwords that are saved on Safari. You can just look for the stored Facebook password and choose to view or copy it without any issue.

Please note that these solutions for recovering an FB password will only work if you have already saved your account details on your browser in advance.

Part 3: How to Retrieve or Change your Facebook Password Directly?


Apart from accessing your Facebook password from your browser, you can also directly change or restore your account details from its website or app. This is the native method of the platform, and it is mostly used to change Facebook passwords.

Though, to change your FB password, you must have the access to the email account that is linked to your Facebook ID. This is because when you would change your Facebook password, you would get a one-time generated link that will let you reset the account details. Here are some simple steps that you can take to reset your FB account details.

Step 1: Start the Account Recovery Process on Facebook

To commence things, you can just launch the Facebook app on your smartphone or visit its website on any browser. You can first try to log into your FB account by entering the existing password. Once you have entered the wrong details, you will get an option to recover your Facebook account.

Step 2: Enter Details of the Linked Email Account on Facebook

As you would proceed to recover your account, you need to enter the phone number or the email ID that is linked to your Facebook account. If you enter your phone number, then you will get a one-time generated code while a unique link will be sent to your email to reset your password.

Subsequently, an email would be sent to the linked account with a dedicated link to reset your password. If you have entered your phone number, then a one-time generated code would be sent to it instead.
